Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 8, 2026

This policy describes what information Dicta handles, why we use it, who helps us operate the service, and the choices users have.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Masterpiece Technologies Inc. collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use Dicta, dictafun.com, and related services.

If you have privacy questions or requests, contact hello@dictafun.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account information may include your name, email address, sign-in details, profile settings, plan, billing status, and support communications.

Content information may include audio, transcripts, prompts, notes, drafts, edits, and other material you choose to submit or generate through Dicta.

Technical information may include device, browser, IP address, approximate location, log data, product usage events, crash reports, cookies, and similar technologies.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to provide Dicta, authenticate users, process voice and text, generate outputs, maintain profiles, manage subscriptions, send transactional messages, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand performance, improve features, and measure product usage.

4. Voice and AI Processing

Dicta is designed around voice-first writing. When you use recording, transcription, rewriting, translation, or summarization features, your content may be processed by service providers that help deliver those features.

You should avoid submitting sensitive information unless it is necessary for your use of the service and you understand the risks of automated online processing.

5. Payments, Authentication, and Email

We use trusted service providers for important parts of Dicta, including account access, payments, subscription management, support communications, and product functionality.

Payment card details are handled by our payment providers. We store billing identifiers and subscription status, but we do not store full payment card numbers.

6. Sharing Information

We share information with service providers that process it on our behalf, with authorities where required by law, in connection with security or abuse investigations, and as part of a business transaction such as a merger, financing, acquisition, or asset sale.

We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary meaning of that term.

7. Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the service.

You may request deletion of your account or certain personal information by contacting hello@dictafun.com. Some information may remain where retention is required or permitted by law.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong password, protect your devices, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

9. International Processing

Dicta and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10. Your Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You can contact hello@dictafun.com to make a request.

You can manage some account and billing settings in the app. You can also disable cookies or similar browser technologies, though some features may not work as expected.

11. Children

Dicta is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Dicta evolves or legal requirements change. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. The updated date shows when the policy was last revised.
